The latest episode of WWE’s Monday Night RAW stirred controversy with a contentious angle.
During a tag team match on the March 11 edition of the red brand, Candice LeRae exhibited aggressive behavior towards Maxxine Dupri, an action that reportedly garnered disapproval from talent backstage.
In the match, Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile faced off against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell.
I was also told that "it wasn't received well by anyone." So, to clarify, IDK who TF actually thought it was a good idea to put that creative idea on television this week. https://t.co/Iitr2BOI1T

LeRae targeted Dupri, berating her and mentioning her deceased brother, alongside claims of locker room disdain similar to audience jeers during a recent WWE Live Event.
Hartwell subsequently delivered a decisive blow, securing victory with a powerful boot to a visibly distressed Dupri.
According to a recent post by SEScoops’ writer Aaron, the backstage reaction to the angle was overwhelmingly negative. The decision to proceed with the controversial narrative on RAW has left many questioning WWE’s judgment:
“I was also told that ‘it wasn’t received well by anyone.’ So, to clarify, IDK who TF actually thought it was a good idea to put that creative idea on television this week,”
he remarked.
The polarizing conclusion to the tag team match sparked widespread discussion among fans, who criticized both the wrestling promotion and the creative team for the uncomfortable angle. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo offered a different perspective on the matter.
During a discussion on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Russo expressed disappointment in the acting performances of the involved talent towards the match’s conclusion.

He characterized the portrayal as ‘horrible,’ deeming it among the worst acting he had witnessed:
“You got Dupri and Nile, the worst acting I have ever seen in my life bro. Between Dupri and LeRae, this was horrible. They trying to play off what happened with the people, come on bro. If you gonna do something like that, you gotta do it in a believable fashion with people that know how to do it. This was literally 9th [grade] school play,”
he critiqued.
Candice LeRae had hinted at a potential heel turn in preceding weeks, with WWE choosing to enact this development on the latest edition of RAW. However, the execution of the storyline has left many perplexed.
