CBS Studios has unveiled the initial lineup of voice actors for its forthcoming animated adaptation of the popular game Among Us.
According to a report by Variety, Randall Park (known for roles in Always Be My Maybe and Fresh Off the Boat), Yvette Nicole Brown (from Community), and Elijah Wood (renowned for The Lord of the Rings trilogy) will contribute their voices to the project. Ashley Johnson, recognized for her roles in The Last of Us video games and Blindspot, completes the cast.
This animated series, first announced as in development in June 2023, is a joint effort between CBS Eye Animation Productions and Innersloth, the studio behind the game. Owen Dennis, notable for his work on the Cartoon Network/Max series Infinity Train, will assume the role of creator and executive producer.
The series will faithfully reflect the game’s premise, depicting crew members collaborating to identify the imposter among them while maintaining the smooth operation of their spacecraft. Titmouse, renowned for its work on Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks, will handle the animation.
Although the network or streaming platform for the series has yet to be confirmed, discussions are reportedly ongoing. Alongside Dennis, Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser of Innersloth will also serve as executive producers. Additionally, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse are involved in the project.
In January, CBS released a first-look teaser image for the upcoming animated series.
