Veteran wrestler Konnan believes Triple H is excelling in his role managing WWE’s creative team.
Taking over after Vince McMahon’s departure in 2022, Triple H has overseen a resurgence in WWE’s popularity, highlighted by record-breaking figures at WrestleMania XL and increased opportunities for emerging talent.
On the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan credited Triple H with making subtle adjustments that McMahon may have overlooked. He commended Triple H for prioritizing talent morale and effectively leading the creative process.
According to Konnan, Triple H’s rapport with the backstage crew is stellar, with unanimous praise for his approach.
“I think I read an interview where he actually alluded to such where he was like, ‘If I ever get a hold of this place, I’d change this and this and this.’ He’s hearing things from wrestlers or production that never actually gets to Vince’s ears or Vince didn’t care but he understands how important they were. Now he’s getting his chance. Everybody that I’ve talked to loves Hunter.”
Triple H’s influence was palpable during WrestleMania XL, where he set the stage for a new era in WWE.
His wife, Stephanie McMahon, echoed this sentiment, branding it the “Paul Levesque Era.”
Fans have responded positively to the change, evident in WWE’s continued success and anticipation for upcoming international tours, starting with Backlash in France in May.
