The tension escalated when The Rock brandished a belt adorned with “Mama Rhodes” on RAW a few weeks back, employing it to mercilessly pummel Cody Rhodes.
When questioned on whether his mother would attend WrestleMania 40 following the repeated references to her on TV, Cody, aged 38, promptly confirmed her attendance, ensuring her impact at the event.
Predictably, Cody’s revelation set social media ablaze, attracting immense attention from the wrestling community.
Many fans speculated about a potential showdown between The Rock and Mama Rhodes at Mania 40, envisioning a spectacle that could rock Philadelphia. Some even suggested that Cody Rhodes might benefit from his mother’s presence, possibly tipping the scales in his favor.
In the same interview with Ariel Helwani, The American Nightmare disclosed that his wife, Brandi Rhodes, would likely be ringside at WrestleMania 40.
However, Cody clarified that he didn’t foresee Brandi getting involved in any in-ring action, expressing his desire to shield her from harm.
“I don’t know if ‘involved’ is the right way to put it. I wouldn’t want her [to]. Wrestling is violent no matter how you look at it. I wouldn’t want her to be in that harm’s way. But I do think … I guess this is a little scoop, final stop of the day. I do think you will see Brandi at WrestleMania,”
he stated.
