“And that’s a wrap on For The Love of Wrestling IV. A massive thank you to everyone who came out, the vendors and all the guests for such a memorable weekend.”
In a recent interview on the Gorilla Position podcast, Trish Stratus reflected on her match against Becky Lynch, which she considers the highlight of her career. Stratus returned to the ring briefly last year, engaging in a feud with Lynch that culminated in a steel cage match at WWE Payback 2023. Since then, Stratus has been absent from television.
“It’s funny because I was just at a signing this weekend and I [always] get asked what’s your favorite match… But now, I’m just like ‘cage match,’ like hands down my favorite and for so many reasons,”
she expressed.
Stratus elaborated on the significance of the match, emphasizing the opportunity it provided to engage in a bout that wasn’t accessible to female wrestlers in her earlier years. She also highlighted the generational face-off with Lynch as a particularly special aspect of the match.
With Stratus’s passion for wrestling still evident, fans are left wondering if she’ll make another return to the ring in 2024.
