Many reports are swirling around WWE talent feeling frustrated about what seems like double standards surrounding The Rock. A fresh report seems to uncover how The Great One manages to navigate through them.
The frustration stems from The Rock’s use of language not suitable for PG television, while all other WWE Superstars are strictly bound by PG rules.
It appears The Brahma Bull operates on a different playing field.
In a recent update from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed these accusations of double standards. He pointed out that exceptions and double standards will always exist for a star of The Rock’s stature.

The report suggests that The Rock can do as he pleases because he sits on the Board of Directors of TKO, WWE’s parent company.
Moreover, he surrounds himself with a team of representatives who handle any backstage issues on his behalf.
According to the report,
“He does what he wants and because he’s on the Board of Directors, nobody is going to say anything to him. He also has an entire team of representatives that he surrounds himself with, so any issues, they handle while he stays out of the mess with the people he directly deals with.”
The frustration among WWE talent comes from the perception that Vince McMahon’s era of double standards was over until The Rock seemingly resurrected them.
In the past, other legends like John Cena, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, and Brock Lesnar also enjoyed different standards under McMahon’s rule, extending to The Bloodline to some extent.
However, The Rock’s elevation of these double standards seems to be a sore point.
Looking ahead, The People’s Champion is slated to headline WrestleMania 40 Night 1 alongside Roman Reigns.
Their match against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins holds significant stakes, determining whether the Bloodline will have a presence at the Universal Championship match on Night 2.
