Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese recently shared a significant update on his personal life, delighting fans with news of impending fatherhood.
Nese, who made his WWE debut in June 2016 and clinched the Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania 35, took to Instagram to reveal that he and his wife are expecting twins. In a lighthearted caption accompanying his post, Nese humorously remarked about wrestling well into his golden years.
“Looks like I’ll be wrestling until I’m 80,”
he quipped, capturing the joyous anticipation of impending parenthood.
Reflecting on his wrestling journey, Nese fondly recalled a heartwarming moment he shared with fellow WWE Superstar Kevin Owens following his WrestleMania 35 match against Buddy Matthews (formerly Buddy Murphy).
Speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Nese recounted how Owens, during a dark match entrance, surprised him by stepping out to offer a supportive hug in front of the live audience, marking a poignant WrestleMania moment.
“The cool thing about that match… we genuinely got them,” Nese reminisced, highlighting the emotional resonance of his WrestleMania bout. “Kevin Owens… came out, gave me a huge hug and kind of gave me my moment in front of the crowd and everything. That whole moment, it felt like that capped off WrestleMania for me. That was my WrestleMania experience right there.”
Now plying his trade in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the guidance of Tony Khan, Nese’s tenure in AEW has reignited discussions among fans about a potential return to WWE, particularly under Triple H’s leadership.
As speculation swirls about his future prospects, wrestling enthusiasts eagerly await developments to see if Nese will once again grace the rings of WWE.
With anticipation building for both his impending fatherhood and his wrestling career, Tony Nese’s journey continues to charm fans, leaving them eager for the next chapter in his storied career.
