Following his unexpected intervention in the main event of Night Two at WrestleMania XL, where he aided Cody Rhodes by attacking The Rock, The Undertaker found himself the recipient of a notable voicemail.
As Cody clinched victory over Roman Reigns, becoming the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, The Deadman vanished into the shadows.
During an episode of his podcast “Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway,” The Undertaker disclosed that Cody Rhodes had left him a voicemail at 3:49 AM on the night of his title win. Reflecting on the message, The Phenom indicated:
“He sent me a voicemail the night he won the title. It was 3:49 AM, I think. I made out about half of it. I believe he was having a good time that night. Well deserved. He has come full circle. I didn’t see him developing into being the sports entertainer that he is. Another example of motivation and not being content with where you’re at and learning.”
Praising Cody’s evolution as a performer, The Undertaker underscored the importance of continuous improvement in the competitive realm of WWE.
Meanwhile, reports emerged suggesting that The Undertaker’s appearance at WrestleMania XL had not been part of the original plan. WWE had initially intended for Stone Cold Steve Austin to confront The Rock during the event’s climax.
However, due to contractual negotiations falling through, The Deadman seized the opportunity, delivering a thunderous Chokeslam to The Rock. This pivotal moment set the stage for Cody’s triumphant victory over Reigns, securing his place in WWE history as the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
