Simon Cowell, head judge of Britain’s Got Talent, has affirmed his enduring friendship with Sharon Osbourne despite her recent feud with TV personality Amanda Holden.
Osbourne, 71, took to X to respond to remarks made by Holden in a Daily Mail article, where Holden appeared to reference Osbourne’s comments on Celebrity Big Brother about Cowell’s ability to maintain friendships.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Cowell commented on the matter, stating,
“If you put Sharon and Louis in the house, that’s what you pay them for, they’re going to be controversial. I still consider Sharon and Louis really good friends, we could pick up the phone to each other tomorrow.”

He continued,
“Amanda is a great friend, but I really do believe Sharon and Louis are great friends as well.”
Cowell addressed Osbourne’s remarks, finding humor in them, saying,
“I don’t have a phone but from what I heard, what they said about me was actually quite funny.”
He expressed his intention to reach out to both Osbourne and Walsh soon, emphasizing his respect and admiration for them.
Osbourne, in her response, highlighted her extensive career in the music industry and her global celebrity status, underscoring her achievements and lifestyle.

Holden’s remarks, quoted in the newspaper article, emphasized her disappointment in seeing individuals criticize Cowell despite the opportunities and financial rewards he provided them.
During Osbourne’s stint on Celebrity Big Brother, she and Walsh made comments about Cowell, with Walsh mentioning a lack of communication from Cowell and Osbourne remarking on his friendship maintenance skills.
In addition to addressing the feud, Cowell revealed that he is working on a new TV talent show and hinted at a collaboration with Cheryl, with whom he recently reunited on Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, praising her television presence.
