Exciting news for Persona 3 enthusiasts, as Atlus has officially confirmed the addition of the previously missing expansion, The Answer, to Persona 3 Reload.
This revelation was shared during the Xbox Partner Preview stream, ending the suspense around whether this significant epilogue from the expanded PS2 release, Persona 3 FES, would find its way into the recent remake.
Atlus, known for playing coy about The Answer’s inclusion, disclosed that this final chapter of Persona 3’s narrative will be available as paid DLC in September, marking the culmination of a three-wave expansion pass unfolding throughout 2024.
The first wave of the expansion pass, scheduled for March 12th, will introduce music from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden.
Following that, the second wave in May will not only include additional background music but also feature a collection of Velvet Room costumes.
Finally, Episode Aigis – The Answer, as the DLC is aptly named, will make its debut in September, allowing players to delve into an engaging epilogue.
The Answer unfolds as a captivating epilogue to Persona 3’s main storyline, focusing on the robot companion Aigis as the new main character, accompanied by a fellow AI party member named Metis.
This roughly 30-hour narrative explores a time-looping dungeon known as The Abyss of Time, revealing unique battle powers called Theurgies for each SEES member and the ability to summon multiple personas simultaneously.
The announcement of Episode Aigis -The Answer, as the ‘final chapter’ of the expansion pass for Persona 3 Reload indicates that the eagerly anticipated introduction of the secondary, female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable might not be on the horizon just yet.
It’s worth noting that Persona 3 Portable remains playable on PC through Steam.
Additionally, Atlus has clarified that there won’t be a Persona 5 Royal-style edition of the remake, ensuring that the DLC can be acquired without fear of it being later bundled into a more refined re-release.
