In the upcoming film Takes One To Know One, directed by Nathalie Biancheri, Olivia Cooke and Jamie Bell take on the roles of Eleanor and Luke, respectively, in a tale of forbidden love.
Set to commence production in Italy later this year, the movie explores the complexities of an impossible romance when the two protagonists, connected by their shared love for art and Italy, find themselves drawn to each other despite being in relationships with others.
Cooke expressed her enthusiasm for the project, praising the script penned by Brooke Baker and the opportunity to collaborate with Biancheri and Bell:
“The script penned by Brooke is beautiful and delicious and can only be elevated more by Natalie and Jamie’s immense talent and vision. To be working with this brilliant bunch is a dream.”
Biancheri also shared her excitement, highlighting the script’s balance of sensuality and emotion.
Baker, the scriptwriter, reflected on the creative process and expressed delight in seeing Cooke and Bell bring the characters to life:
“Writing this movie for Olivia was an incredible experience, and I immediately resonated with Nathalie’s inspired and visionary take on the material.”
Both Cooke and Bell boast impressive resumes in film and television. Cooke is renowned for her roles in House of the Dragon and Bates Motel, while Bell gained fame for his portrayal of Billy Elliot and recently appeared in All of Us Strangers.
