In Skull and Bones, a game rich with pirate adventure and ship construction, precious metals hold immense value. Initially, Iron is in high demand during the game’s early stages, but soon, players find themselves needing Bronze, crafted from Copper.
Bronze Ingots become essential components in numerous crafting recipes as players establish their pirate prowess. Consequently, knowing where to locate Copper for harvesting becomes imperative. Here’s a guide on finding Copper in Skull and Bones:
Copper deposits can be found in various locations across the East Indies, with one of the prime spots lying just south of the Sacred Tree outpost. Situated along a narrow canal near Hova Hill, west of Sainte-Anne, the outpost marks the starting point. Heading south from there, following the canal, players encounter a trading settlement and a couple of guard towers.
Around these towers, along the shoreline, lie Copper ore veins. One spot is situated to the right of the towers, while another can be found on a small island between them. Refer to the map screenshot below for precise locations:
Before commencing mining operations, players must acquire a Pickaxe I. This can be crafted at the Carpenter’s shop in Sainte-Anne, requiring two Torn Sails and one Broken Plank. Once equipped with the Pickaxe, players approach a Copper ore vein, identified by shiny rocks along the shore, and initiate harvesting by pressing the designated button on-screen.
This initiates a small mini-game where players must time their button press to land in the green zone. Alternatively, players can opt for the “Auto-Harvest” setting in the menu, streamlining the process and eliminating the mini-game, albeit resulting in fewer resources. For those seeking an authentic experience, leaving Auto-Harvest off allows for manual looting of materials.
Upon depleting a Copper ore vein, players can scout for additional veins nearby or return to Sainte-Anne. There, they can process their newly acquired Copper Ore into Bronze Ingots at the Refinery shop.
The Refinery charges a nominal fee to convert Copper Ore into Bronze Ingots, with three Copper yielding one ingot. Once the process is complete, players can collect the finished ingots from the “Finished Goods” tab in the Refinery menu.
Given the substantial need for Copper and Bronze Ingots in shipbuilding and blueprint crafting, multiple trips to the ore veins south of the Sacred Tree are advisable for players aiming to thrive in Skull and Bones’ piratical world.
