John Cena has undeniably been a marquee name in WWE for over two decades, captivating fans with his charisma and athleticism. While some former wrestlers, like Glen Jacobs (aka Kane), have transitioned into politics post-wrestling career, Cena doesn’t seem inclined towards such a path.
In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the Doctor of Thuganomics brushed off questions about his political ambitions, asserting that he doesn’t feel the need to enter politics to effect change.
“No! If you are so influenced by this and other people, one by one, are influenced by that, you don’t need a political figure to be a catalyst for change. We live in such a great society that people can orchestrate change. We are in the current state of where we are because this is essentially our attitude,” he expressed.
Expanding on his perspective, the former WWE Champion emphasized personal responsibility in shaping change.
“What can I control if I’m upset? I can control how I behave. How I behave is influential on other people; maybe it affects you, and then one by one, one person at a time, we have the ability to voice ourselves as people.”
Beyond his illustrious wrestling career, Cena has also made a significant impact in Hollywood with blockbuster movie roles. His recent appearance at the Oscars to present the award for Best Costume Designer generated considerable buzz worldwide.
Despite Cena’s enduring popularity in WWE, there’s uncertainty surrounding his involvement in WrestleMania 40. While many fans hope to see the iconic superstar grace The Show of Shows in April, a recent report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that Cena may not be available. The reason? He’ll be busy filming the second season of Peacemaker for Max, which is likely to coincide with WrestleMania 40 weekend.
This news leaves fans speculating about Cena’s future appearances in the wrestling world. Missing out on WrestleMania 40 would undoubtedly be disappointing for both Cena and his legion of supporters, but it remains to be seen when he’ll make his return to the Stamford-based promotion.
As the WWE landscape evolves and new stars emerge, Cena’s absence serves as a reminder of his enduring impact on the industry and the anticipation that accompanies his potential comeback.
