WrestleMania XL saw a shocking moment involving YouTuber IShowSpeed and WWE legend Randy Orton.
During the Triple Threat match for the United States Championship, Speed, disguised as a Prime mascot, jumped into the ring, only to be promptly taken out by Orton’s signature RKO maneuver – delivered through the announce table!
The online world exploded after the incident. Orton took to Instagram with a clip of the RKO, sarcastically wishing Speed a “speedy recovery.”
This didn’t sit well with the social media star. Speed fired back with a cryptic warning on Orton’s post:
“Wait til I see you again bro ong ,”
hinting at potential future retribution.
Adding another layer to the story, Logan Paul, the eventual winner of the U.S. Championship match, revealed on The Pat McAfee Show that he had his sights set on Orton all along.
Although he had previously defeated Kevin Owens, Paul acknowledged Orton’s legendary status:
“He’s a legend. I’m honored to be in the ring with The Legend Killer. Seriously, like, Randy Orton is one of the best that WWE has. He’s amazing, and so it is going to be a great match but, Randy Orton is really who I have my eyes set on.”
With fans clamoring for a potential feud between Orton and the newly crowned Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE finds itself at a crossroads.
Will they capitalize on the simmering tension between Orton and IShowSpeed, or will The Viper set his sights on the ultimate prize – the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship? Only time will tell what the future holds for The Apex Predator.
