The Flood have long held the title of the most fear-inducing presence in the Halo series, but a new cosmetic addition in Halo Infinite is vying for that position. Enter the Wendigo armor kit for the Chimera armor core, making its debut in the game’s store.
This eye-catching suit, themed around a cyclops, boasts a striking metallic skull embedded in the chest piece. The defining feature is the helmet adorned with a large eye, featuring a vivid green sclera and a pink iris. Complementing the helmet, the armor showcases a predominantly gray hue accented with vibrant pops of pink. Undoubtedly, this cosmetic will make a bold statement amidst the more conventional Spartan attire during multiplayer matches.
Earlier this year, Halo Infinite shifted away from seasonal updates in favor of free operations. Presently, the free-to-play multiplayer shooter is immersed in the Cyber Showdown III operation, introducing the Elevation map and a range of new cosmetics. The operation is scheduled to conclude on April 2nd.
Despite ongoing speculations, it appears that a battle royale mode is not in the cards for Halo Infinite, with reports suggesting its cancellation. Initial beliefs pointed towards Certain Affinity spearheading the development of this mode for the game.
This isn’t the first time a Halo project has faced a similar fate. Recently, it surfaced that 343 Industries had proposed as many as 30 different Halo games that ultimately never materialized, including one described as “really dark.”
