WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently asserted that The Rock chose not to acknowledge him, suggesting it was due to a fear of facing him in a verbal exchange.
The Hollywood megastar, now aligned with Roman Reigns’ Bloodline stable, engaged in a 21-minute Instagram promo before last Friday night’s SmackDown.
While he called out various names, including Busted Open Podcast co-host Dave LaGreca, The Rock conspicuously omitted mentioning co-hosts Mark Henry and Bully Ray, both Hall of Famers.
During a recent episode of Busted Open, LaGreca pointed out The Rock’s non-acknowledgment of Henry and Bully Ray.
The latter, a former WWE Tag Team Champion, boldly asserted that The Rock refrained from singling him out because he feared Bully Ray’s ability to “verbally assassinate him.”
“I know why he won’t acknowledge me. Because he knows that I’ll come on this show, and I will verbally assassinate him. Rock is scared of me on the mic. And he knows what I can do. So, he’s not gonna single me out because I’ll cut a scathing promo on him,”
remarked Bully Ray during the Busted Open episode.
In the recent SmackDown, The Rock, alongside Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, delivered a promo challenging Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to a tag team match at WrestleMania XL.
However, the acknowledgment took an unexpected turn when Reigns interrupted The Rock’s signature catchphrase, demanding recognition as The Tribal Chief, which The Rock duly provided.
Speculation arises about the dynamics between The Rock and Roman Reigns following this interaction.
WWE personality Peter Rosenberg suggested that this moment may plant the seeds for The Rock potentially betraying the leader of The Bloodline in the future, adding an intriguing layer to their evolving relationship.
It remains to be seen how this development will impact the unfolding narrative at WrestleMania.
