Epic Games has initiated refunds for players who previously purchased The Side Shuffle and Jubi Slide emotes in Fortnite. In an upcoming shop update, both emotes will be available for purchase as a bundle, priced at 600 V-Bucks.
The Side Shuffle and Jubi Slide emotes bear striking similarities, with the primary distinction lying in the accompanying music during their execution.
Although these emotes debuted in Fortnite approximately two years apart, their resemblance prompted some players to voice concerns over Epic’s approach, citing it as a departure from their usual practice.
Responding to these concerns, the developer has opted to group the emotes together, effectively offering them at a price that is nearly equivalent to a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Notably, both emotes draw inspiration from the dance moves popularized by jubi2fye, a TikTok user who gained viral fame.
The more recent emote, Jubi Slide, appears unlikely to be sold independently again, as it was swiftly removed from the store mere hours after its release. Consequently, the bundle is anticipated to become the standard method for acquiring these emotes for one’s locker, although Epic Games has not provided definitive confirmation on this matter.
