Set to launch in winter 2025, the comic coincides with the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, marking a significant celebration of the game’s influence on popular culture. Jody Houser, who co-wrote the previous Stranger Things and Dungeons & Dragons series, will lead the writing team for The Rise of Hellfire, joined by new co-writer Eric Campbell. Campbell brings his own D&D experience to the table, having worked on the story collection Dungeons & Dragons Worlds & Realms.
The artistic team includes Diego Galindo, who illustrated the earlier series, along with colorist Diana Sousa and letterer Nate Piekos, creating a cohesive visual style for returning readers.
