Disney has announced another round of price increases for its streaming services, set to take effect on October 17, 2024. This price hike follows a similar increase that occurred just last year. The new pricing will affect Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, with each service seeing a rise in subscription costs.
For Disney+, the monthly fee for the ad-supported plan will increase from $6.99 to $9.99, while the ad-free plan will rise from $13.99 to $15.99. Hulu’s ad-supported subscription will now cost $9.99, and the ad-free option will go up to $18.99, reflecting a $1 increase. ESPN+ will see a $1 increase for the ad-supported plan, bringing the new monthly rate to $11.99.
The bundling options will also see price adjustments. The bundle including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with ads will be priced at $16.99 per month, and the ad-free bundle will cost $26.99. This is a $2 increase for both bundles. Hulu + Live TV with ads will rise from $76.99 to $82.99, and the ad-free version will increase from $89.99 to $95.99.
In addition to the price hikes, Disney+ will introduce new curated playlists in the fall. All subscribers will have access to ABC News Live and preschool content, while premium subscribers will benefit from additional playlists featuring seasonal content, epic stories, throwbacks, and real-life stories.
