Triple H has been getting a lot of credit from fans for steering WWE in the right direction since he took over the creative team.
Recently, a champion in the company had nothing but good things to say about The Game and how he’s contributed to their success.
Intercontinental Champion Gunther is among the many wrestlers who’ve appreciated Triple H’s leadership in WWE.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Gunther talked about his experience working with Triple H, which dates back to his time in WWE NXT.
He emphasized that Triple H has always been the boss figure for him, even when Vince McMahon was in charge on the main roster.
“As a ‘boss’ in the company, he always has been that figure for me. Even when I started on the main roster and Vince McMahon was there, he was the guy I referred to as the boss, and I’ve always got on great with him.”
Gunther drew parallels between his character and Triple H’s during the Attitude Era, highlighting similarities in their roles on the wrestling card. He appreciated Triple H’s understanding of his character and how it should be presented to the audience.
“When you look at the kind of wrestler he was and the kind of wrestler I am, the characters and roles we have on a card are very similar,” The Ring General said. “He was the ‘Darth Vader’ of the Attitude Era and, usually, I’m getting characterized as the ‘End boss’, so he has a good feel for what I’m doing and how I need things done for me in terms of presentation.” [H/T – talkSPORT]
Despite the challenges of his role, Gunther recognized that Triple H’s focus remains on keeping the audience engaged and excited.
He acknowledged that it’s impossible to please everyone, but Triple H prioritizes the fans’ enjoyment above all.
While Triple H’s spotlight was briefly dimmed by The Rock during a recent WWE event, he quickly regained his prominence by officiating a significant match for WrestleMania.
Gunther also commented on The Rock’s return, seeing it as a huge boost for WWE’s reach and excitement.
As WrestleMania approaches, fans speculate on The Rock’s potential involvement in future matches, anticipating more excitement and buzz for the industry.
