Netflix has officially announced the commencement of production for the final season of Cobra Kai, marking the culmination of one of its longest-running shows.
To mark this milestone, Netflix unveiled a brief video on its official YouTube channel featuring the cast’s reflections on Season 6. While the video primarily showcases glimpses of the actors engaged in training, it captures the enthusiasm of the ensemble cast as they express their excitement about returning to the set. Additionally, the video includes a brief shot of Martin Kove’s character, Kreese, wielding a katana.
Originally slated to commence production in May of the previous year, Season 6 faced delays due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike. Prior to the strike’s full impact, Netflix offered fans a glimpse into the forthcoming season with a table read, hinting at what might unfold in the final installment.
The fifth season of Cobra Kai premiered in 2022, culminating in the alliance between Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel LaRusso, and William Zabka’s Johnny Lawrence, as they joined forces to overcome Cobra Kai. This alliance led to Cobra Kai and LaRusso/Johnny’s unnamed dojo receiving an invitation to an international karate tournament, setting the stage for the events of the upcoming season.
