Bruce Prichard, a controversial figure in the pro wrestling business and Vince McMahon’s close aide for years has finally shared his thoughts on the sexual assault lawsuit filed against McMahon.
Following McMahon’s resignation from TKO Group Holdings amid the lawsuit, Prichard clarified that he is not involved and is not being sued in the matter. He emphasized that, due to the legal nature of the issue, he cannot comment on it.
In response to inquiries about the lawsuit, Prichard stated:
“As far as lawsuits and things of that nature, I’m not at liberty to discuss any legal matters of the company whatsoever. To that, there is nothing that I can say. There can’t be a response from the legal standpoint. You can ask until you’re blue in the face, and that’s going to be your answer. I’m not involved, I’m not being sued, I’m not being accused of anything. It’s a legal matter. Sometimes, it is as simple as, for those who believe, the explanation is needed; for those that don’t, no explanation will do. That’s kind of where we are. Let the rest of it sit in the hands of the fine legal system we have here in the United States of America.”
Prichard acknowledged that he works for WWE, a company currently involved in a major lawsuit, and therefore, he is unable to provide comments on the matter.
He emphasized that individuals working for a company facing a lawsuit cannot say much about it, as doing so could risk their jobs.
Vince McMahon, responding to the accusations made by Janel Grant, labeled them as “lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred.” As McMahon remains unlikely to appear on WWE TV, the lawsuit has brought significant attention and discussions within the wrestling community.
