WWE WrestleMania XL brought a big win for Bayley, securing the Women’s Championship after defeating IYO SKY from Damage CTRL. Now, she gears up for her first title defense against Naomi on the upcoming SmackDown.
Naomi earned her shot at the championship after a recent victory over Tiffany Stratton. This sets the stage for a highly anticipated showdown, marking Bayley’s first defense since her WrestleMania triumph.
In anticipation, Bayley took to Twitter, sharing a throwback photo of her victory over Naomi from WWE Super ShowDown 2020, accompanied by the message “Glow Model #SmackDown.”
Ahead of the match, Naomi expressed confidence in her chances during an interview with WWE correspondent Kayla Braxton on SmackDown LowDown.
“I’m very excited for SmackDown next week. Bay-omi, me and my good friend Bayley, you know. I plan on giving her my best and putting on a very competitive match. And I don’t know KK, you might be looking at the next WWE Women’s Champion,”

Naomi’s journey to this title shot includes a victory on Night One of WrestleMania XL, where she teamed up with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to defeat the Damage CTRL trio of Dakota Kai and The Kabuki Warriors.
With prior championship experience as a former SmackDown Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts World Champion, Naomi aims to add another accolade to her resume with a win over Bayley.
