All Elite Wrestling (AEW) fans, get ready for a special treat this week! Due to unavoidable circumstances, the promotion has been forced to deviate from its usual programming schedule, resulting in three hours of non-stop wrestling action tomorrow night.
Unfortunately, this means that Collision will not be airing this Saturday.
The changes come as a result of other major sporting events taking over the airwaves on TNT and TBS, including the NFL, NBA, and NHL playoffs. AEW has had to adapt to these scheduling conflicts, which have affected their programming in recent weeks.
Last week, Rampage was aired on a Saturday instead of its usual Friday night time slot.
According to Dave Meltzer’s latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the NHL Playoffs are the primary reason for this week’s changes.
As a result, Rampage will air immediately after AEW Dynamite tomorrow night, making for an exciting three-hour block of wrestling.
So, what can fans expect from this special episode of AEW Dynamite and Rampage? For starters, Kenny Omega is set to make his long-awaited return to the ring, albeit not in a competitive capacity just yet.
The former champion has been dealing with health issues since December and will appear in front of his hometown crowd in Winnipeg.
In terms of the world title picture, fans will finally learn who Swerve Strickland’s contender will be at AEW Double or Nothing. Will it follow the rankings, or will there be a surprise announcement? Tune in to find out.
Additionally, the fallout from The Elite’s attack on Tony Khan will continue to unfold. With the EVPs seemingly taking control of the show, it remains to be seen what changes and repercussions their actions will have on the entire promotion.
The card for Dynamite is shaping up to be an exciting one, featuring matches with Adam Copeland (formerly Edge), the House of Black, Chris Jericho, Katsuyori Shibata, Mariah May, and Serena Deeb. While there has been no announcement regarding what’s in store for Rampage, fans can rest assured that it will be an action-packed hour of wrestling.
Despite the absence of Collision this week, AEW is more than making up for it with three hours of thrilling wrestling action tomorrow night. So mark your calendars and get ready to experience all the drama and excitement that AEW has to offer!
