A notable figure in wrestling circles, reportedly on the brink of joining WWE following his tenure with New Japan Pro Wrestling, might find himself in the ranks of The Bloodline faction in the near future.
This individual is none other than Tama Tonga, known in the wrestling world as Alipate Aloisio Leone. With an impressive resume boasting seven IWGP Tag Team Championship reigns, four NEVER Openweight Championship victories, and four NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship titles in NJPW, Tonga has solidified his status as a force to be reckoned with in the ring.
His final match for the Japanese promotion took place on February 23, 2024, at the New Beginning in Sapporo event, where Tonga, alongside Tanga Loa as Guerrillas of Destiny, faced off against Hikuleo & El Phantasmo, albeit falling short of victory.
While not directly related, the 41-year-old grappler shares a longstanding bond with the Anoa’i family through his adoptive father, Haku.
This familial connection presents an intriguing possibility for Tonga to align himself with The Bloodline in WWE, providing ample storytelling opportunities.
Discussing the potential move on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer hinted at Tonga’s integration into The Bloodline, emphasizing the familial ties he shares with Roman Reigns, The Rock, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa:
“He’s on his way. Don’t know the role. Very likely, at some point, could be part of the Bloodline situation because he’s considered family by all those guys. So if they need somebody new, it could be him,” Meltzer remarked.
It's apparently "very likely" that Tama Tonga – who is heading to #WWE – could join The Bloodline at some point as they consider him family:

He further noted Tonga’s prior discussions with WWE and speculated on an imminent debut given his departure from New Japan.
Meanwhile, former WWE manager Jim Cornette expressed disappointment over The Bloodline’s absence from the 2024 Elimination Chamber event in Perth, Australia.
Cornette, speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, questioned WWE’s decision to feature a video package on The Bloodline only to exclude them from the event entirely.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming episode of SmackDown, set in Glendale, Arizona, fans eagerly await to see if The Rock and his relatives make their presence felt. Amidst the excitement, speculation mounts on whether Tonga will make his debut alongside The Bloodline, potentially setting the stage for WrestleMania 40.
With tongues wagging and excitement brewing, the wrestling world eagerly awaits to see if Tama Tonga will indeed align himself with The Bloodline in WWE.
