Bayley, the triumphant winner of the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble, recently stirred up the wrestling world by extending a challenge to a former WWE Superstar, Peyton Royce, also known as Cassie Lee.
Royce’s journey in World Wrestling Entertainment began in 2015 when she joined the company’s developmental brand, where she engaged in riveting feuds with top talents like Bayley and Liv Morgan.
Her crowning achievement came at WrestleMania 35 when she clinched the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Billie Kay, aka Jessica McKay. However, in April 2021, Royce parted ways with WWE after being released from her contract.
Taking to X/Twitter, Royce shared a nostalgic glimpse of her tenure in WWE, prompting Bayley, her former rival, to respond with admiration and extend an invitation for a wrestling match.
Bayley’s tweet exuded camaraderie rather than rivalry, as she hailed Royce as one of the best wrestlers and expressed her eagerness to face off against her.
“One of the best let’s wrestle,” Bayley’s tweet read.

The emotional impact of Bayley’s recent triumph was palpable, as WWE Superstar Dakota Kai revealed in a heartfelt interview with Denise Salcedo. Kai, visibly moved by Bayley’s victory in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, described her as a selfless and nurturing figure in the wrestling community. She admitted to shedding tears of joy witnessing Bayley’s well-deserved moment of recognition.
“I cried. I was waterworks, honestly, and seeing it all go down and her being in the match for as long as she was too, was insane. When it happened, all the emotions bubbled to the surface. This woman has supported us, she brought me back, she brought IYO in and gave us an opportunity. She’s always been the most selfless person, the most giving person. So to see her finally receive her roses was just absolutely… I don’t know, it was so nice. I cried, I cried like a baby,” Dakota Kai shared.
Amidst the emotional highs and lows, Bayley faces new challenges, with her former allies turning against her during a recent episode of SmackDown. Now, she braces herself for a showdown against SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XL, leaving fans curious about what lies ahead in her WWE journey.
