Warner Bros. Games has appointed Yves Lachance as vice president and studio head for its Montreal games studio. In his new role, Lachance will oversee the studio’s management across all disciplines and collaborate closely with Warner’s publishing teams and other internal studios. He will report directly to Ben Bell, the senior vice president for production and studios at WB Games.
Lachance brings over eight years of experience from Bethesda Game Studios Montreal, a studio he played a key role in establishing in 2015. Before his tenure at Bethesda, Lachance spent nearly a decade at Behaviour Interactive, where he held various leadership roles. His extensive background in game development and management positions him well to lead WB Games Montreal.
In his new role, Lachance is enthusiastic about leveraging Warner Bros. Games’ major franchises and internal expertise to advance the studio’s game development. He expressed his excitement about working with the Montreal team to create standout games based on significant entertainment properties.
WB Games Montreal, known for its 2022 release “Gotham Knights,” is reportedly working on a new AAA single-player game based on a DC Comics series, which will be developed using Unreal Engine 5.
