Despite nursing an elbow injury, a non-competitive role, like a spot on the expert panel alongside CM Punk and Big E, would have been an ideal way to utilize his talents.
The WWE also left fans baffled by not including a thrilling Triple Threat Match between Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, and “Big” Bronson Reed for the Intercontinental Championship. This match had the potential to steal the show, and Lyon’s raucous crowd would have amplified the energy.

With his impressive European wrestling background and popularity in the region, it was puzzling to see him not featured on the card. Even a move to bring forward his First Round Match with Sheamus from the King of The Ring tournament would have added an extra layer of excitement.
