Longtime WWE Spanish commentator Carlos Cabrera has officially joined the AEW Spanish broadcast team, making his debut appearance on the latest episode of “AEW Dynamite.”
AEW CEO Tony Khan shared the news, announcing Cabrera’s arrival as an “All Elite” member and revealing his role as part of the “Dynamite” Spanish commentary desk.
“Welcome to the @AEW commentary team tonight on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite! Carlos Cabrera is All Elite!”
Cabrera will complement the existing AEW Spanish commentary lineup, which includes Alvaro Riojas, alongside Thunder Rosa and Alex Abrahantes, who have also contributed to the Spanish announcement team.
Cabrera, previously a familiar voice in WWE alongside Hugo Savinovich, departed from the promotion in February 2022.
His exit from WWE, after nearly three decades of service, was reportedly due to age-related reasons, as the promotion sought younger talent for the commentary desk.
Following his departure, Cabrera continued his announcing career in AAA, even reuniting with Savinovich on commentary.
The current “Dynamite” English commentary team consists of Taz, Tony Schiavone, and Excalibur, while Schiavone also provides commentary for AEW’s other brand, “AEW Collision,” alongside Nigel McGuinness and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross.
