As Easter approaches, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet enthusiasts are in for a delightful treat with the announcement of an upcoming Mass Outbreak event featuring adorable Baby Pokémon.
Scheduled to kick off at the end of March, this event promises players the opportunity to capture some rare Pokémon, each potentially bearing a special Vigor Mark.
This Mass Outbreak event comes hot on the heels of the recently concluded Five-Star Tera Raid event showcasing the enigmatic Paradox Pokémon, Brute Bonnet, and Iron Hands.
While these peculiar Pokémon are typically found in Area Zero within their respective versions, the Tera Raid battles allowed trainers to snag a level 75 Paradox Pokémon of a specific Tera type, with a chance to score some Sweet Herba Mystica as a reward.
Occasionally, instead of a Tera Raid battle event, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet throw in surprises by granting players the chance to encounter different Pokémon appearing in specific spots across Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium.
These Mass Outbreaks are themed around particular Pokémon, with the previous February 2024 event showcasing Pokémon shaped like Poké Balls.
Continuing this trend, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be hosting a Mass Outbreak featuring Baby Pokémon over the Easter weekend.
The event commences on Thursday, March 28, at 8:00 PM Eastern and concludes on Sunday, March 31, at 7:59 PM Eastern.
Trainers need to connect to the internet and check Poke Portal News during the event window to ensure the appearance of Baby Pokémon outbreaks, each with a chance of holding the coveted Vigor Mark.
Happiny and Pichu will grace Paldea, while Kitakami will be bustling with Munchlax and Riolu outbreaks. Over in the Terarium, Elekid and Magby will make waves.
These Baby Pokémon have the potential to evolve into formidable creatures such as Lucario, Snorlax, and Blissey, ideal for Tera Raid battles.
Baby Pokémon made their debut in the franchise with Pokémon Gold and Silver, with Pichu, Elekid, and Magby among the initial additions.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl introduced Munchlax, Happiny, and Riolu to the roster of Baby Pokémon. With their endearing traits and diminutive forms, Baby Pokémon have captured the hearts of Pokémon enthusiasts and artists alike since their inception.
With Pokémon Scarlet and Violet taking a brief hiatus from Tera Raid battles, trainers should seize this opportunity to add elusive Baby Pokémon to their collection.
As for what events lie in store for April and beyond, only time will reveal the surprises that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have in store.
