WrestleMania XL is just around the corner, set to rock Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 6-7.
With the excitement building up for the two-night extravaganza, wrestling icon Teddy Long shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated showdown between Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso.
In 2023, The Usos suffered a tough loss, surrendering the Undisputed WWE Tag Titles to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn during the main event on Night One of WrestleMania 39.
Now, the siblings are ready to settle their long-standing feud in a singles match on the grandest stage of them all.
According to The Wrestling Time Machine host Mac Davis, the clash between brothers has all the makings of stealing the spotlight:
“These two guys are likely to deliver an incredible match. It’s hard to decide which night to feature them because they could shine on any show – opening, closing, you name it. I’m betting it’ll be one of the standout matches of the night,”
remarked Davis.
Echoing Davis’s sentiments, Teddy Long chimed in, expressing confidence that the Usos will deliver a thrilling performance:
“It’s going to be one intense battle, brother. These two are going to leave it all in the ring. They’re phenomenal workers who always go above and beyond to entertain the fans. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth and then some,”
Long remarked.
Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter also shared his anticipation for the clash between Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso:
“They’ve been wrestling each other since they were kids. They’re family, bloodline through and through. It’s going to be an incredible match, full of ups, downs, and sideways action,”
Apter predicted.
Aside from the Uso showdown, their cousin Roman Reigns will be a key player at WrestleMania XL. Teaming up with The Rock on April 6, The Tribal Chief will take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
Then, on the following night, he’ll defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Rhodes for the second consecutive year.
