WWE superstars like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes don’t have as much freedom with their promos as some might think.
According to a recent report, there’s discontent backstage about “double standards” when it comes to language.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that many wrestlers are unhappy about The Rock being allowed to use strong language on live TV while everyone else has to stick to PG language, even on social media.
Some feel that as a board member of WWE’s parent company, The Rock should lead by example and follow the rules.

Even top stars like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes reportedly don’t have the same freedom.
While Rhodes used a few slurs in a promo, others believe they could connect better with fans if they had more flexibility.
Despite rumors suggesting Cody Rhodes might face The Rock at WrestleMania 40, it seems that was never the plan.
Wrestling personality Sam Roberts pointed out that there was no official graphic for the match, indicating it wasn’t set in stone.
Whether WWE changed plans due to fan backlash or for other reasons remains unclear.
