It’s been a good stretch since Damian Priest clinched the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Now, it’s about time he puts that contract to use and takes on a WWE champion.
Throughout the last two decades, fans have seen many Money-in-the-Bank (MITB) cash-ins fall flat. Despite the contract allowing its holder to cash in at any time, some WWE Superstars just couldn’t seal the deal.
To avoid such missteps, Damian Priest has been cautious, not rushing into any decisions. However, the downside of holding onto the MITB briefcase for so long is missing out on several golden opportunities to cash it in.
Let’s delve into five instances where The Judgment Day member had a perfect chance to cash in but let it slip away.
#5 On Seth Rollins on RAW (March 4, 2024)
Damian Priest, being a full-time member of WWE RAW, has had ample chances to cash in on Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, the red brand’s world champion. Despite finding Rollins vulnerable on multiple occasions, Priest hasn’t made the move to claim the big gold belt yet.

During a recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Rollins, focused on defending Jey Uso from his brother, Jimmy, fell victim to a surprise Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre. As Rollins lay incapacitated in the ring, Priest was nowhere to be seen.
#4 On Logan Paul on WWE SmackDown (February 23, 2024)
In 2022, Austin Theory made history by cashing in the MITB contract on a mid-card title. Damian Priest, however, seems to have overlooked the opportunity to do the same with the US Championship.

During a WWE SmackDown episode, amidst a chaotic brawl, US Champion Logan Paul faced a devastating spear from Bobby Lashley. With Randy Orton the last man standing, Priest could’ve capitalized on the situation, but he failed to make an appearance.
#3 On Gunther on WWE RAW (November 20, 2023)
A confrontation between The Judgment Day and Imperium hinted at a potential cash-in opportunity for Damian Priest on Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
Despite having a chance to catch Gunther off-guard during a RAW segment, Priest opted to stay focused on his group’s upcoming War Games match at WWE Survivor Series.
#2 On Seth Rollins on WWE RAW (September 18, 2023)
During a heated rivalry between Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura, Priest overlooked numerous chances to cash in on a battered Seth Rollins.

Despite Rollins being injured and vulnerable, Priest chose to wait for another opportunity.
#1 On Roman Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank 2023
After winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, Priest missed a prime opportunity to cash in on a shaken Roman Reigns. Following a defeat to The Usos, Reigns was vulnerable, yet Priest failed to seize the moment, perhaps caught up in celebrating his own victory.

In conclusion, Damian Priest has had several opportunities to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but for various reasons, he’s yet to make his move. Whether it’s missed chances or strategic decisions, only time will tell when he’ll finally take his shot at a WWE champion.
