The ongoing feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has kept fans on the edge since McIntyre’s unfortunate injury to Punk in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match.
Following Punk’s interference at WrestleMania XL, their rivalry escalated further, with both stars delivering a charming segment on a recent episode.
In the segment, Punk was seen in a skybox, exchanging heated words with McIntyre, who called him out for his absence due to injury. Despite Punk’s verbal retaliation, McIntyre continued to search for him backstage.
However, when Punk finally appeared in the ring to address McIntyre, the Scottish Psychopath was nowhere to be found.
Commenting on this segment, Vince Russo acknowledged the continuity but raised a concern about McIntyre’s absence when Punk entered the ring.
“I give them credit for maintaining continuity, with McIntyre initially in the ring and Punk in the press box, then the switch… But again, when Punk is in the ring, McIntyre doesn’t go after him.” (47:16 – 47:33)
The anticipation for their eventual showdown continues to grow, promising an epic encounter whenever they finally clash in the ring.
