Amidst the buzz surrounding Night 2 of WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a WWE star has seemingly taken a subtle jab at All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
CM Punk’s return to the professional wrestling scene via the 2nd episode of AEW Rampage in 2021 was highly anticipated by fans.
However, his stint in the promotion was plagued by injuries and controversies, culminating in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In 2023, which led to his dismissal by AEW President Tony Khan in September last year.
In response to Punk’s recent criticisms of AEW during an appearance on The MMA Hour, it is speculated that AEW will air footage of the altercation between Punk and Perry at All In 2023.

During the WWE WrestleMania Kickoff show featuring CM Punk, Michael Cole introduced the controversial star in a tongue-in-cheek manner, referring to him as “the man who the internet wrestling marks use to make headlines.”
Meanwhile, former Universal Champion Braun Strowman expressed his desire to face off against CM Punk in a WWE match.
Strowman, who is currently recuperating from neck fusion surgery, emphasized that wrestling is a job, and he would have no qualms about working with Punk upon his return to WWE.
“Like I said, Punk’s fresh back in WWE after a 10-year hiatus. He’s causing a ruckus in the ratings. Whatever is good for business is good for me because, at the end of the day, the company’s making money, which means I’m making money, and that’s what we’re all here to do. This is a job. At the end of the day, this is our job, we go out there, and if that means going out there and whipping CM Punk’s a**, then I’m gonna go out there and whip his a**.”
Despite the controversies surrounding him, CM Punk remains one of the most prominent figures in the industry.
Fans eagerly await his return from injury and anticipate WWE’s plans for him in the future.
