Former WWE writer Vince Russo has voiced concerns regarding the treatment of Cody Rhodes by the company once again.
This week’s electrifying episode of RAW, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, featured powerhouse performances by none other than The Rock and Roman Reigns, who set the stage on fire with their fiery promos.
Reigns, in particular, made a bold declaration, asserting his imminent victory at WrestleMania and even going as far as to vow retirement if he were to lose against Cody.
In the latest installment of Legion of RAW, Russo expressed apprehension about WWE potentially resorting to underhanded tactics to thwart Cody Rhodes’ chances of success once more.
He reminisced about Rhodes’ departure from WWE, his subsequent venture into another promotion, and his symbolic dig at Triple H by demolishing a throne with a sledgehammer in AEW.
“There’s always that lingering uncertainty with WWE,”
Russo mused.
“You just don’t know if Cody is being set up. This is a guy who left WWE to kickstart AEW. He pulled the Triple H move with the sledgehammer and the throne. You just don’t know with them, bro, you just don’t know.”
The intensity of Roman Reigns’ recent promo has cast serious doubt on whether Cody Rhodes will see his storyline through to fruition this year.
Given the relentless assault by The Bloodline on Cody in recent weeks, the odds of him achieving victory seem increasingly slim.
As speculation mounts and tensions escalate, the WWE universe eagerly awaits the unfolding drama leading up to WrestleMania, where the fate of Cody Rhodes hangs precariously in the balance.
