WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, recently floated an intriguing idea involving Stone Cold Steve Austin making a return to Monday Night RAW for a segment with Cody Rhodes.
The suggestion comes in light of the intense confrontation between Rhodes and Roman Reigns on SmackDown, where doubts were cast on the loyalty of their respective tag team partners.
During a discussion on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray envisioned the scenario, emphasizing its potential significance.
“This is a tiny tiny tiny scene but, man, would it mean so much. The end of Monday Night RAW in Brooklyn next week, the very last thing you see is Cody leaving the arena, he’s walking up the ramp to his car and all of a sudden that pickup truck pulls in and out walks Stone Cold Steve Austin. And Steve says to Cody: ‘Remember what I told you, kid. Don’t trust anybody.’ Fade to black,”
he proposed.
With WrestleMania XL looming, where Cody Rhodes is slated to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, the idea of Austin’s advice adds a compelling narrative layer. Additionally, Rhodes will team up with Seth Rollins to take on Reigns and The Rock in a highly anticipated tag team match.
Meanwhile, speculation also surrounds Stone Cold’s potential involvement during WrestleMania XL Weekend, with WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi suggesting him as a candidate to induct Paul Heyman into the Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
Rikishi expressed his belief that Austin’s ties to ECW and his significance in Heyman’s career make him a fitting choice for the honor.
Although Stone Cold Steve Austin officially retired from in-ring competition in 2003, his sporadic appearances have kept fans eagerly anticipating his next move.
Whether it’s a return to RAW or a ceremonial role at WrestleMania, Austin’s continued relevance in the WWE sparks excitement and speculation among wrestling enthusiasts.
