Wrestling veteran Konnan recently shared insights about Brock Lesnar and his current status within the WWE.
At the start of this year, Lesnar mysteriously disappeared from the WWE scene following his alleged mention in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
This unexpected turn led to significant alterations in the company’s plans for events like Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 40.
However, recent rumors have suggested that the former world champion might be making a return to the Stamford-based promotion.
In an episode of Keepin’ It 100, Konnan discussed Lesnar’s standing with the company, hinting that WWE’s perception of the UFC star’s innocence might have shifted.
“It’s strange that they removed him from the website initially, only to reinstate him later. Perhaps initially, they thought he was guilty, but upon further review, they realized he might not be as culpable as presumed. We all know Lesnar’s affinity for money; he’s driven by it. He played Dana White against Vince McMahon, and it’s paid off for him. His distinctive character and appearance have allowed him to capitalize on opportunities, as anyone would,”
Konnan remarked.
A recent report also clarified that Lesnar had never been taken off the roster page, adding another layer to the ongoing speculation.
In a separate revelation, Austin Theory reflected on a nerve-wracking encounter with Lesnar during WWE Elimination Chamber 2022.
Theory, who had been propelled into the spotlight under Vince McMahon’s guidance, found himself facing Lesnar multiple times in his early WWE tenure.
Recounting his experience on The West Sport, the former United States Champion disclosed the perilous nature of an F5 move delivered by Lesnar during their match.
According to Theory, a misstep during that crucial moment could have spelled the end of his career in 2022. Fortunately, he emerged unscathed and went on to triumph in the Chamber match the following year, successfully retaining his United States Championship.
