A wrestling veteran, who shares a history with Dusty Rhodes, believes he knows how the WWE icon would have reacted to Cody Rhodes’ monumental victory at this year’s WrestleMania.
At The Showcase of the Immortals, Cody Rhodes delivered an unforgettable performance by triumphing over Roman Reigns against all odds, eliciting one of the most thunderous ovations in WrestleMania history.
The event shattered previous attendance and viewership records, underscoring the magnitude of Rhodes’ achievement.
Reflecting on this momentous occasion on the latest episode of The Wrestling Time Machine with host Mac Davis, Dusty’s former colleague and WCW veteran, Glacier (Ray Lloyd), shared his insights:
“You know what just me personally, my opinion on that is, I think Dusty would have just stood there and really took it in. Just took it in, smiled and just, took it in and been proud of the moment where he wasn’t necessarily the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, he was just a proud father. That’s what I see.”
While Cody Rhodes basks in the glory of his WrestleMania triumph, wrestling pundit Vince Russo has raised questions about the future trajectory of his career.
During an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Russo expressed concerns about the lack of clear direction for Rhodes post-WrestleMania, noting repetitive promos:
“He has nothing, bro. I swear to God, when he went out there tonight to cut the promo, he started cutting the same promo he cut on SmackDown. I’m watching this and I’m like I just heard this on SmackDown bro. So we’ve literally got nothing for the world champion to do bro, nothing.”
As speculation looms over Rhodes’ next moves in WWE, fans eagerly await developments in his ongoing journey within the wrestling.
