WWE superstars Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have significantly contributed to the company’s growth in recent times. However, former WCW star Konnan believes they shouldn’t switch to AEW.
Lynch and Rollins gave their all at WrestleMania in Philadelphia but fell short against Rhea Ripley and Drew McIntyre, respectively. Amid rumors of their contracts ending, they’ve been absent since the event.
On Keepin’ It 100, Konnan and Disco Inferno discussed the potential move to AEW. Konnan explained why it wouldn’t be a good fit, emphasizing that AEW needs to focus on overall production rather than signing expensive stars.
“The problem is that if you bring in Seth and Becky, it wouldn’t change anything because, at the end of the day, wrestlers are seeing that’s where careers go to get destroyed or flounder. Very few careers have flourished, you know what I’m saying.”
Konnan also mentioned the signings of Mercedes Mone, Will Ospreay, and Kazuchika Okada, highlighting how their momentum dwindled after debuting.
Becky Lynch, who recently competed at a WWE house show, has been a standout star in the women’s division.
Despite her loss at WrestleMania, she’s remained active, debunking rumors of a hiatus and revealing her upcoming appearances in WWE house shows in the United Kingdom.
As for Seth Rollins, he’s yet to make an appearance post-WrestleMania. Fans are eager to see when the duo will return to the weekly product and if Lynch will compete for the vacant Women’s World Championship.
