The electrifying return of The Rock to WWE, coupled with his highly anticipated in-ring comeback at WrestleMania XL, has set the wrestling world abuzz.
SmackDown standout LA Knight recently offered candid reflections on the resurgence of this iconic figure in the sport.
Initially slated to square off against his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania’s pinnacle event, The Rock’s surprising heel turn led him to align with The Bloodline instead.
The forthcoming showdown will see the dynamic duo take on Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes on Night One of WrestleMania 40, marking The Brahma Bull’s first match since his lightning-fast victory over Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
LA Knight gives his thoughts on The Rock coming back to WWE & how it impacts the company moving forward:
“I hear (The Rock) say wrestling is cool again and he’s right, but I just wanna make sure every one knows that it started getting cool again 6…7 months before he got… pic.twitter.com/mqgznlly3V

Sharing his perspective on The Rock’s WWE return, LA Knight, often likened to the wrestling legend, gone into the potential impact of his presence.
“My personal opinion, without going too deep into it, is that there is some merit to having him there and at the same time, we were doing very well selling out and all that stuff even without him. He can only add to it or I guess some people could say he could take away from it. You never know. As far as business is concerned, business is good. It’s good with him, it’s good without him,”
expressed Knight during an interview on Busted Open Radio.
Contrary to The Rock’s assertion that pro wrestling regained its cool factor because of him and The Bloodline, Knight offered a different perspective.
“I hear him say wrestling is cool again, and he’s right, but I want to make sure everybody knows it started getting cool again six or seven months before he got there. I’m not saying he can’t add to that cool factor or that he won’t. I’m just saying, wrestling is cool again, and wrestling was cool again before he came back. I don’t want it to seem like all of a sudden it happened because of him. Nah nah,”
Knight elaborated, challenging the narrative of The Rock’s sole influence on wrestling’s resurgence.
