The professional wrestling world has been abuzz with speculation surrounding the highly sought-after free agent, Kamille. The 31-year-old star has been making waves since becoming a free agent in January 2024, with both WWE and AEW reportedly vying for her signature.
Now, it appears that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) may have won the race, with AEW President and owner Tony Khan recently singing her praises.
Speaking on Superstar Crossover, Khan refused to comment on Kamille’s contractual status but was effusive in his admiration for her talent.
“I think Kamille is a great wrestler. We followed her very closely. She’s worked with a lot of the top AEW talent. As for her status, I can’t comment to that but I think she’s a tremendous talent and she would be an asset to any wrestling company for sure, including AEW,” he said.
Kamille, the former NWA Women’s World Champion, has been in high demand due to her impressive skills and charismatic presence in the ring.
Her talks with both WWE and AEW have been well-documented, with many speculating about which promotion she would ultimately choose.
In a recent interview with WrestlingNews.co, Kamille revealed that she had spoken with WWE legend Shawn Michaels during her free agency, who expressed his admiration for her work.
“I mean, you know, I had conversations with Shawn Michaels and I had no clue that Shawn Michaels had any idea who in the world Kamille was and found out he was a big fan. Stuff like that blew my mind. And it was super humbling and amazing,” she said.
While Khan’s comments stopped short of confirming Kamille’s signing, they certainly suggest that AEW is interested in bringing her on board.
With her impressive resume and undeniable talent, it’s little wonder that both promotions were eager to snap her up.
As fans eagerly await news of Kamille’s debut for AEW, one thing is clear: this talented wrestler is set to make a significant impact in professional wrestling.
Whether she’ll be joining the likes of Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., Jamie Hayter, and Toni Storm in the AEW women’s division remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – Kamille is ready to take the wrestling world by storm.
