Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently shared a heartfelt message on social media following a significant announcement related to WWE.
In a recent episode of SmackDown, The Great One declined Cody Rhodes’ proposal for a singles match and instead challenged Rhodes and Seth Rollins to a tag team match alongside Roman Reigns at Night One of WrestleMania XL.
Rhodes and Rollins are set to respond to this challenge on the upcoming edition of SmackDown.
Despite his recent appearances on WWE television, Johnson’s busy schedule in the movie industry remains a challenge.
Taking to Instagram, Johnson expressed his admiration for Hollywood star Emily Blunt, who was announced as his co-star in the upcoming movie, “The Smashing Machine”:
“She’s inspiring – one of one. Emily Blunt, Benny Safdie, A24. ‘The Smashing Machine,'” Johnson wrote.
Jim Cornette, in a recent episode of The Experience podcast, speculated that if The Rock were to betray Roman Reigns, Reigns would likely become a fan favorite. Cornette suggested that The Rock wouldn’t usurp Reigns’ position in The Bloodline due to his infrequent television appearances.
“Roman would obviously be the one to be babyface because The Rock would have gotten him into a lot of this… The Rock doesn’t have to steal The Bloodline because he’s not gonna be wrestling or in the ring on a regular basis. And I don’t think he wants to commit to months and months of coming and doing their promos. But Paul could still be with Solo and Roman could be a huge f**king babyface at some point whatever that point is.”
Speculation among fans is rife regarding The Rock’s potential betrayal of Reigns during Night Two of WrestleMania XL, particularly during Reigns’ match against Cody Rhodes. The future plans of The Great One in WWE remain a source of intrigue.
