Former WWE Champion, The Rock, has delivered a bold message in response to Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins confirming their appearance on the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown.
Last week, on SmackDown, Dwayne Johnson challenged the RAW Superstars to a tag team match against him and Roman Reigns on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.
To up the ante, The People’s Champion added a stipulation: If Rollins and Rhodes win, The American Nightmare’s Undisputed WWE Championship match against The Tribal Chief on Night 2 of WrestleMania would be free of The Bloodline members.
Conversely, if Rollins and Rhodes lose, the Night 2 showdown would become a ”Bloodline Rules” match.
On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Rhodes and Rollins aligned and declared their presence on the March 8th SmackDown to respond directly to The Great One’s challenge.
Ahead of his appearance in Dallas, Texas, on Friday Night SmackDown, Dwayne
“The Rock” Johnson took to social media to boast about consistently selling out arenas due to his star power. He shared, “Shakin’ cities 🔥📍Dallas 3/8📍Memphis 3/15 ~ people’s champ #electrifying @wwe @tkogrp.”
Regarding the verbal exchange between The Rock and his challengers, former WWE writer Vince Russo discussed Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins responding to Dwayne Johnson’s comments on RAW.
Russo criticized the opening segment, highlighting the contrast in promo skills between The Rock’s powerful delivery on SmackDown and the RAW Superstars’ response.
“The differences in those two promos, I think, really shine a light on two very different times in wrestling, and bro, I’m gonna say it again, if this opening promo was cool, then I don’t want to be cool, bro,”
expressed Russo on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW.
The WWE Universe eagerly anticipates the face-to-face confrontation and potential physicality as the four men engage in verbal sparring before their potential tag team match at WrestleMania 40.
