Wrestling veteran Stevie Richards suggests that The Rock might take revenge by firing Triple H and Shawn Michaels from WWE. Richards, a member of the BWO, shared his insights on Vince Russo’s The Brand podcast.
Despite The Rock’s recent return to WWE as a board member, Triple H has held the position of Chief Content Officer for nearly two years.
Similarly, Shawn Michaels oversees talent development and creative aspects as Senior Vice President, besides managing NXT.
The Rock, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels had real-life conflicts during their WWE wrestling careers. Triple H acknowledged this tension on a recent episode of “WWE Rivals,” emphasizing that they’ve since resolved their issues.
Richards speculated that The Rock might use his authority to remove Triple H and Michaels due to past grievances.
“If you’re looking at, like, Rock with a personal vendetta, yeah, maybe. But even more so for business, to eliminate these guys that are going to have a pattern of behavior,”
Richards explained.
He added,
“Imagine those two guys finally getting ‘best luck in your future endeavors’ or maybe even worse. What if Rock tries to starve Triple H and Shawn or makes their lives a living hell?”
Vince Russo, another wrestling figure, predicts changes in Triple H’s role within WWE. While Triple H has been a significant figure in WWE’s backstage operations, Russo believes his position may be uncertain, especially with The Rock’s influence growing.
Russo expressed sympathy for Triple H, stating,
“He’s done, bro. From a wrestling standpoint, with [The] Rock in that seat, Ari Emanuel does not need Triple H whatsoever.”
Amidst ongoing changes in WWE’s leadership, Triple H remains one of the few remaining figures connected to the McMahon family. With Vince McMahon stepping away amid legal troubles, the future roles of WWE executives like Triple H are uncertain.
