Not all bugs in the gaming world are a nuisance; some come with unexpected delights. Beyond the ones causing frustration or disrupting gameplay, there exists a realm of peculiar phenomena, like a Palworld bug that has bestowed both gifts and challenges upon fortunate players—a Pal of colossal proportions.
Shared initially on the game’s primary subreddit by user kaityl3, the revelation unfolded as their Lucky Vixy exhibited a peculiar growth pattern “every time I returned to base.”
The accompanying visual evidence, showcased in the embedded post, vividly displays the Vixy’s remarkable expansion, reaching towering heights comparable to trees and extending as wide as an entire base. Is it still Palworld, or has it transformed into Kaijuworld?
Kaityl3 specified that this anomaly was exclusive to the Lucky Vixy in question and didn’t manifest with other Pals. The method to acquire one’s mega Pal remained a mystery, as the user admitted, “I’m not entirely sure.”
However, they offered a clue, suggesting that the phenomenon occurred more frequently when positioning their three Lucky Vixy side by side in the base UI. Interestingly, a similar incident took place when fast-traveling to the base coincided with the spawning of syndicate thugs. Yet, they also noted that the bug seemed to have been rectified in the latest patch.
Aspiring owners of Gigantic Pals need not lose hope, as reports indicate that this bug has affected other players’ saves. One post highlights a captured boss Grizzbolt that inexplicably ballooned to mountainous proportions, a sight both frightening and amusing, especially when observing its cheeks.
Despite the intriguing nature of such bugs, the latest Palworld patch appears to have eradicated more than just this particular glitch.
Among those disappointed by the update is Ali, who mourned the removal of his preferred bug—a phenomenon that propelled players into the heavens, frozen in a rigid T-pose. Another beloved bug, flinging players into the air, served as a convenient means of traversal before obtaining a flying mount.
