WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long has expressed skepticism regarding the recent statement made by John Laurinaitis, describing it as “hilarious” and suggesting that Laurinaitis may be campaigning for a comedy show. Laurinaitis, a former WWE Executive, released a statement through his lawyer claiming to be a victim in the Vince McMahon controversy involving allegations made by Janel Grant.
Teddy Long shared his thoughts on Laurinaitis’ statement, stating,
“Man listen, I don’t wanna comment on this stuff because you know as I will always say it, people are innocent until proven guilty. But you know what, that just makes me laugh all over the place… Is he trying to campaign for a comedy show or get on TV to tell jokes or something? That’s hilarious.”
When asked about his opinion on Laurinaitis’ guilt or innocence, Long added,
“Like I said, I am not saying anything about it but in my opinion. I believe he is guilty, but that’s me. That’s just me talking.”
In a separate perspective, WWE veteran Vince Russo, speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing with Russo, suggested that TKO and Ari Emanuel may have influenced Laurinaitis’ statement.
Russo raised questions about Laurinaitis suddenly positioning himself as a victim and speculated whether TKO and Emanuel might have influenced him to cooperate.
The complex case involving allegations against Vince McMahon and others continues to unfold, with Laurinaitis’ statement adding another layer of intrigue to the ongoing controversy.
The situation remains fluid, and the legal proceedings are expected to shed more light on the matter in the coming weeks.
