On the latest episode of WWE NXT, the energetic and daring Shotzi Blackheart officially set her sights on the coveted NXT Women’s Championship, challenging the formidable champion Lyra Valkyria to a title match.
This didn’t come out of nowhere though. Last week, Shotzi sent out a tweet praising the NXT Vengeance Day match between Roxanne Perez and Lyra, subtly suggesting her own interest in stepping into the ring with the champion.
Lyra, not one to shy away from a challenge, responded by calling Shotzi “audacious.” The tension was palpable.
This week, the simmering rivalry finally boiled over backstage. Shotzi, tired of online exchanges, proposed settling things the old-fashioned way: face-to-face. Valkyria, ever the warrior queen, relished the opportunity and promptly granted Shotzi a shot at her title.

However, Shotzi wouldn’t be stopped by formalities. She revealed she had already secured “permission” from NXT General Manager Ava, showcasing her characteristic resourcefulness and determination.
