Suki Waterhouse has become a mother! The British actress and model recently confirmed the arrival of her first child with Robert Pattinson.
She shared the joyous news on Instagram late Thursday night, posting a Polaroid picture of herself tenderly holding her newborn. Waterhouse captioned the photo, “Welcome to the world angel.”
In the image, the star of Daisy Jones & the Six is draped in a pewter-gray knitted cardigan over a dark undershirt, gently cradling her baby. The infant, whose name has not been disclosed yet, is snugly wrapped in a blanket adorned with blue and pink hearts.
Waterhouse’s announcement comes shortly after the Daily Mail published photos of her and Pattinson taking a stroll in Los Angeles with a baby stroller, seemingly confirming the arrival of their child.
In the snapshots, Waterhouse sported a white baseball cap, and a black trench coat layered over a periwinkle jumper and sweatpants. Pattinson opted for a gray hoodie under a foggy-green puffer jacket, paired with black shorts and a cap. The couple seemed to be keeping a low profile during their outing.
The two actors have been romantically linked since the summer of 2018, with Pattinson publicly acknowledging their relationship a year later. Speaking to The Sunday Times, he emphasized their desire to keep their love life private, stating,
“If you let people in, it devalues what love is.”
He compared discussing personal relationships with strangers to an intrusion and emphasized the importance of maintaining boundaries.
Last fall, Waterhouse offered rare insights into their relationship during an appearance on the Apple podcast Driven Minds. Reflecting on sharing a living space with Pattinson, she mentioned experiencing anxiety due to the move.
However, she expressed gratitude for Pattinson’s understanding and acceptance of her clutter, describing him as “so accepting of the mess and the chaos.” She affectionately noted that he finds her disarray charming, indicating her appreciation for his support.
Waterhouse initially announced her pregnancy in November at the Corona Capital 2023 Music Festival in Mexico City, where she showcased her baby bump. With humor, she remarked,
“I thought I’d wear something sparkly to distract you from something else I’ve got going on. I’m not sure it’s working.”
