Players have been eagerly playing the Stellar Blade demo on PlayStation 5 since its release almost a month ago, eagerly anticipating the full game launch on April 26, 2024.
While many have enjoyed the demo and logged numerous hours, one player seems to have taken their enthusiasm to the extreme, much to the chagrin of director Hyung-Tae Kim, who has urged players to take it easy.
Reddit user @hardwarecheese recently shared their impressive progress on the Stellar Blade subreddit, boasting nearly maxed-out skills and combos in the demo. While their dedication is admirable, some worry that such extensive playtime might detract from their enjoyment of the full game.
Spending too much time in the demo could lead to players feeling burnt out or finding the full game less exciting and challenging.
Despite warnings from both the director and fellow players, some have logged staggering hours in the demo, with some claiming upwards of 50 to 96 hours of gameplay. The demo, which covers the game’s opening and lasts around 90 minutes until the first boss fight, has enthralled players with its engaging gameplay and tantalizing rewards.
Developer Shift Up has even incentivized completing the demo with surprise rewards in the full game. However, it seems that some players may have taken this encouragement a bit too far, prompting the developers to remind players to “go easy on the demo” via social media.
While it’s understandable that players are eager to explore all that Stellar Blade has to offer, it’s essential to strike a balance and avoid overindulging in the demo.
After all, the true excitement lies in experiencing the full game fresh and discovering its wonders as intended by the developers.
